How do I buy a ticket?

Early access tickets available: 01-10 August (2024 participants only - check your email Friday 01 August for the link to purchase tickets)

Public tickets available: from 11 August (link to buy tickets on this website)

I have registered - now what?

You will receive an email confirming your registration (check your spam!). You can pick up your wrist band on Saturday 18 October from the Hautapu Sports Club between 10am-2pm. If you're unable to make this time, pick up your wrist band on the event day between 10am-11am.

What do I need to bring?

- A filled water bottle
- Your asthma inhaler if you're asthmatic
- Goggles or sunglasses to help protect your eyes from the colour powder
- Cash (for raffles and sausage sizzle - limited Eftpos available)
- A hat to provide protection from the sun
- A mask or bandana over your mouth, if you have concerns about inhaling the colour powder
- We highly recommend bringing a towel and even a change of clothes! 

How long is the course?

The course will be approximately 2km’s around the perimeter of the Hautapu Sports Club fields. There will also be a fun obstacle course for under 6’s.

Can I push my child in a pram/ stroller around the course?

Yes! You will just need to be prepared for the pram/stroller to be covered in coloured powder and understand that the sports fields are mixed terrain, so it could be a little bumpy.

Do I need to be at the prize giving to receive a spot prize?

Yes.  You will need to be onsite to receive a spot prize.

Is this event wheelchair accessible?

The course will be set up on the grassed perimeter of the club sports fields.  This is an uneven surface of mixed terrain, which may be difficult for wheelchairs to navigate.  

Can I transfer my entry?

Yes you can transfer your ticket to someone else, through the Humanitix ticket platform.  Simply click on Manage order in the email confirmation you received when you purchased your ticket/s.

Is there a minimum age for the event?

Colour Cambridge is an all-age event, we will be sending off participants in waves so we have safe numbers of people making their way around the course. 

Children under 14 years need to be accompanied by a responsible person who is 16 years or older.

Where can I park?

Public parking is available along Taylor Street and on the gravel parking area on Laurent Road.  There will be no parking within the event grounds, in the interests of safety.

Can I bring my dog?

No. Hautapu Sports Club does not allow dogs on their grounds.

Will the race be timed?

No. This is an untimed, family fun-run event.

What food facilities will there be at the event?

There will be several food trucks and a sausage sizzle set up at the event grounds where you can purchase items.  You are welcome to set up picnic blankets on the fields and bring your own food, however please ensure you take your rubbish home with you. 

Are there toilet facilities?

Yes.  The toilet blocks at the event grounds will be available for your use.

Where does my ticket fee go?

The advertised ticket fee will go directly to support Kids in Need Waikato - a registered charity based in Cambridge, supporting children being raised in care around the Waikato. Please note Humanitix charges a booking fee which will be added onto your ticket price - Humanitix donate this to their chosen charities.
